I'm going to be honest with you here. I'm not putting the sitcom script on the site. I've created a sitcom called DR SPORTZ . Sitcom is to me the king of comedy. Australians have not been very successful at it, a few shiny moments, the British have a few good ones. (13 episodes of brilliance called FAWLTY TOWERS no doubt) America have produced a constant stream of good sitcoms and of course nearly about 10 classic 30 minute comedy shows. But they really know how to do this.
My 5 favourites are CHEERS, SEINFELD, THE LARRY SANDERS SHOW, GET SMART, THE MARY TYLER MOORE SHOW. and I've left out FRASIER and ALL IN THE FAMILY which both have at least two of the best episodes of comedy ever written. The list goes on and on.
American sitcoms are biggest influence on my sitcom style of writing but I am a realist in that DR SPORTZ will probably never happen and to make it work would take an enormous team of writing talent. Shaun Micaileff would have to play the doctor. (Or Mike Shanahan)
"Multi-reasonably talented" "The most prolific, undiscovered, ok talent in the history of Brisbane". I've been knocking on the door of production houses, TV stations and film bodies for 35 years plus without anyone taking much interest. I gave stand up a go and although I did well at it I could see in Brisbane it was a road to nowhere. 15 film scripts 3 sitcom pilots plus episodes. One 6 part mocumentary series Hundreds of comedy sketches Hours of stand up material.
